Upon graduation from Cambridge University, Richard trained at the highly respected national firm Shoosmiths and was admitted as a solicitor in March 2000. He has over 10 years’ experience of dealing with personal injury claims including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, slips, trips and falls.
Richard’s specialism is road traffic accident claims, but he has experience in many other areas of personal injury claims. He also has some experience of commercial litigation and commercial property from during his time at Shoosmiths.
He has been the head of the Personal Injury Claims & Compensation at Douglas Wemyss Solicitors in Leicester, since March 2009
He considers that client care is very, very important. “If you do a good job for a client they will tell 5 friends, but if you do a bad job they will tell all their friends!”
Outside the office he likes going to the movies, swimming and is part of an amateur dramatics group.
