Gurmail is a Senior Solicitor with Douglas Wemyss Solicitors LLP. He entered the legal profession as an Articled Clerk in 1980 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1982 with Vernon and Shakespeare in Oldbury in the West Midlands. He then went on to Wm. Bache & Sons in 1984 where he became a Partner in the firm and remained until 1991 when he started his own firm of Sidhu & Co Solicitors based in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Gurmail has been working for Douglas Wemyss Solicitors since 2008.

Gurmail has a solid background in all aspects of corporate/commercial work including:

Outside of work, Gurmail's interests include, reading world literature, travelling, keeping fit and cooking for his family and friends so that they can spend more time together. This passion for connecting with his family and friends can also be seen in his approach to his clients as he believes that "if you give your clients the time and support as you would your family or friends they will gain your trust and respect."
