LOSS OF EARNINGS

One of the many claims that can be made, in respect of financial losses arising out of a personal injury claim, is a claim for loss of earnings.

You are entitled to claim for loss of earnings if you have had to take time off work due to your illness/injury and as a result you have lost out on earnings.

In some cases, depending upon your contract of employment, you may receive sick pay in full and not have a claim for loss of earnings. Also, depending again on your contract of employment, you may be required to refund to your employer any sick pay that is paid to you, as a result of an absence from work due to an injury which was caused by a third party.
