Luke Shipley is a great testament to DWS and someone I would highly recommend requesting when choosing DWS for your conveyancing requirements. Buying or a selling a property is seldom easy and straight forward unfortunately. I would not hesitate to recommend Mohamed Amir Patel in the conveyancing department for anyone wishing to purchase a property using the Islamic Home Purchase Plan route via Al Rayan Bank. Mohamed was extremely speedy in his communication via email and managed our expectations realistically. He was very diligent and showed care in the completion process for our new home. His knowledge was excellent and this showed in the completion process as the whole process took a mere 3 months from offer to completion.

Following the death of my mother, I had an issue with the distribution of her estate. I had to find a solicitor & was recommended to use Douglas Wemyss by a friend.This was almost 3 years ago. I had an initial chat with one of their legal advisors & arranged a meeting with Austin Ogbata. I explained the situation,  the reasons for the dispute; that my sibling had kept my mothers cash assets & was claiming ownership by survivorship.We considered the options & set out to prove the funds were my mothers & should form part of the estate.I drafted a number of my own letters, so that I could make specific points & they were then edited by Austin, after discussion, to a more legal & professional approach. I found Austin, to be friendly, professional, good humoured & above all the support I needed when it looked like we were going nowhere and I wasn't going to succeed.  I think we were both frustrated by the situation, but agreed not to give in. Long periods of silence after we sent letters was extremely frustrating & didn't help matters.Thankfully after almost 3 years, my sibling final made a compromise offer & the estate has finally be distributed.Without Austin's moral support & DWS, I doubt I would have achieved a compromise agreement.Over the last 3 years, all I can say is that it has been a pleasure working with Austin, I have certainly learnt a lot from his knowledge & experience.
