Sameer became the Senior Partner and Owner of Douglas Wemyss Solicitors in 2008 and since has shown exceptional leadership and management skills in his ability to drive the business forward and take it from strength to strength.

He has built this foundation through intensive networking and business development and brand promotion thus generating a significant client base led by his B2B networking which has helped ride the tide of the recession and cement forgoing relationships.

Martin Smith is an experienced corporate lawyer. He has been ranked as a 'leading individual' by the Legal 500 in both the East Midlands and East Anglia and an 'expert' by Legal Business.

His association with DWS has been running for several years and has included the sale of a company holding the local Costa Coffee franchises and the sale of an app developer to an AIM listed company. More recently at DWS he has acted for a successful spin-out company from a local university and a large company which was sold to a US based VC. He has acted for a local wealth management company which has acquired two smaller wealth managers.

Austin is a commercial litigation solicitor, and specialises in resolving business and workplace disputes.

‍

He is head of the firm’s dispute resolution department which consists of seven fee earners. He qualified in Northampton and worked for a number of respected law firms within the region. Austin has also obtained a qualification in business mentoring and coaching.

‍

Known as a “people person”, and for his “can do” approach to his work, Austin also plays a pivotal role as a Client Relationship Manager, training and developing staff, as well as protecting the legal interests of his clients.

Charanjit was promoted to Partner status at DWS on 1st November 2013. After completing his Law degree and LPC at Oxford University in 2005, Charanjit has since specialised primarily in Residential Conveyancing and qualified as a solicitor in March 2010 whilst being employed at a law firm in Bedford.

‍

Charanjit is well versed in completing conveyancing matters to strict timescales and he has already gained popularity in the Leicester area whilst being here for his ability to deliver the service that the client requires.

Having initially qualified as a Legal Executive Jonathan went on to qualify as a Solicitor in 1984. Thereafter he managed a branch office handling a varied range of work including Conveyancing, Probate, Family and Crime before concentrating entirely on family matters.

‍

He is an accredited member of the Law Society Family panel in the subjects of violence within the family home and ancillary relief.

‍

He has also qualified as a trained Mediator with Resolution. He has many years  experience of conducting his own advocacy in the family court and of managing a busy and challenging caseload.

Asma joined DWS Legal in 2010, she is highly organised and detail orientated in her practice manager role, providing effective oversite of daily management and operational aspects whilst ensuring the efficient and smooth functioning of the Firm.

She manages a team of legal assistants and administrative personnel, alongside overseeing client relationships, resolving issues and insuring high levels of client and referrer satisfaction. She is also involved in the HR and compliance matters within the firm, ensuring strict adherence to legal and ethical standards.

Asma actively participates in marketing and business development on behalf of the firm, often stating this as one of her most enjoyable roles whilst meeting new business contacts and forging positive relationships.

Rebecca has been working within the legal profession since 2010. She qualified as a solicitor and joined DWS Legal in 2015.

‍

Rebecca has always enjoyed working on a broad case load and currently advises on General Litigation, Employment, Personal Injury and Family matters. She prides herself on providing excellent client care, whilst also providing the most cost effective and practical legal solution available to the client.

Lorna  joined the firm in 2011 as a Consultant and specialises in Commercial and Company and Share purchase transactions.

‍

With 16 years experience in the profession,  Lorna has gained a well rounded commercial working practice. During her career Lorna has the advantage of working for some of the largest blue-chip companies globally, and always striving to ensure that clients are given a professional and practical approach to all of the legal issues that they encounter.

Katarzyna is a solicitor at DWS Legal having qualified in July 2020. She specialises in Residential Property matters dealing with all types or property transactions. Katarzyna also has experience in dealing with Immigration matters for private clients and has established her own growing network of clients.

Katarzyna is the first point of contact for our Polish speaking clients and promotes our services amongst Polish Community in the UK.

Pritesh joined the firm in 2014 as a Property Lawyer and specialises in all residential transactions to include, Freehold and Leasehold Sales and Purchase, Transfer of Equity, Right to Buy and Government Help to Buy Scheme.

‍

Pritesh has a strong ties within the Hindu Community and acts for many Gujrati speaking clients and estate agents and firmly believes establishing the best form of communication is the key to success.

I’m a specialist in the property department at DWS Legal, where I’ve been working since 2014. I focus on company purchases and have a particular interest in specialist lending, including Islamic finance. Outside of work, I love exploring different restaurants and I’m a huge tennis fan. I’ve had the pleasure of attending Wimbledon several times and my admiration for the sport is why I chose Venus Williams as my inspiration on our Wall of Inspiration.

Michaela has been working in the legal profession since 2013 and has worked at DWS Legal since 2015 where her career continues to grow. 

She is fully rounded in residential property matters, dealing with all aspects of Freehold and Leasehold Conveyancing. She is passionate about her specialist areas which include residential property transactions for Limited Companies, Buy to Lets and matters involving specialist lending such as Bridging and Islamic Finance.

In recent years, Michaela has continued to grow her specialism and also offers a range of assistance in private client matters such as Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Probate.

Hilary is a Conveyancing Executive specialising in Freehold and Leasehold Sales, Purchases, Remortgages, Transfers of Equity, including representing individual clients and companies.

‍

Her commitment to delivering an exceptional service has resulted in a consistently high level of satisfaction for all parties involved.

Shveta started at DWS Legal in April 2023.

‍

Having previously worked as a Legal Assistant, she is currently working toward her qualified solicitor status. On a day to day basis her role is predominantly based within Property and with over 2 years of experience in conveyancing, she handles a caseload of sales and purchases whilst assisting on a variety of more complex property matters. She also assists the Private client team from time to time on cases such as Wills and works closely with senior members of the team.

Shveta prides herself on her communication skills with clients and estate agents to ensure that transactions run smoothly and effectively.  As a keen networker she has built strong relationships within the business community.

Pam has been working within the legal profession for over 35 years and joined DWS Legal back in 2003.

‍

Pam initially joined DWS as a Personal Assistant working within the Conveyancing Sector but in 2014 became our Legal Support Manager. Within this role Pam assists members of staff and is the main focal point for any clients requiring support.

‍

Pam prides herself on her communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients to ensure the best outcome for all parties.

Samantha joined DWS Legal since 2016, having worked in the legal profession for over 30 years in both family and conveyancing departments. 

‍

She is a Paralegal within the Conveyancing Department, and her role involves the managing of both freehold and leasehold residential sales.

‍

Samantha has a friendly approach whilst maintaining a professional standard  and always strives to do her best for her Clients.

‍

Shalina joined DWS Legal in January 2016 and has worked within the legal profession for over 30 years and has also worked in various other departments, such as Crime Conveyancing and Immigration.

She provides secretarial support to fee earners within the Family and Litigation department and always strives to provide exceptional support to clients and colleagues by maintaining her standards of professionalism in all tasks and communications.

Shalina also plays an integral role in the success of legal cases as she has a very friendly approach to clients. She continuously improves efficiency to ensure cases progress smoothly and clients are kept happy.

Bhavisha joined DWS Legal in 2016 after working at a lawfirm in Central London.

‍

Bhavisha has many years of experience in assisting with residential and commercial property transaction and currently assists the team at DWS Legal. She also deals with client onboarding and is your go to person for new enquiries within the property department. Bhavisha is overall a well-rounded individual within our firm and is always happy to go the extra step.

Laura joined DWS Legal in February 2023 after completing her Law degree and the Legal Practice Course. She began her journey as a Legal Assistant and has since been advancing towards becoming a qualified solicitor by demonstrating her capabilities and accomplishments.

She specialises in progressing Residential Property transactions and her role involves tasks such preparing contracts, conducting searches, and liaising closely with clients, solicitors and other parties involved to ensure the process runs seamlessly. She follows a structured process which is essential in ensuring that each step is completed correctly, maintaining organisation and efficiency.

With her fluency in Slovak and Czech, Laura enhances her ability to provide comprehensive and tailored legal services to a diverse range of clients by building trust and ensuring clients fully understand their legal matters.

Faiza is a member of the Residential Conveyancing Team and assists in all aspects of the buying and selling process.

She is the first point of contact with clients and can liaise quickly and proficiently with estate agents, solicitors and management companies to ensure the conveyancing process runs as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Buying or selling a home can be a stressful time but Faiza ensures that the process is made as easy as possible by planning ahead to meet deadlines and organising her workload to ensure her clients remain fully updated at every stage of the transaction.

Tahreem is a proficient Conveyancing Paralegal, fluent in Italian, Urdu and Punjabi offering 3 years of experience in facilitating residential property transactions. Tahreem brings a solid foundation in legal principles combined with practical expertise in the conveyancing process. She exhibits unparalleled attention to detail in conducting thorough title searches, preparing accurate contracts, and ensuring timely completions.

Tahreem's multilingual skills not only enhance client communication but also enable her to navigate complex, cross-border property transactions with ease.

Beyond technical skills, Tahreem is known for her empathetic approach and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients by offering clarity and support through complex legal procedures.

Simran began working in commercial property in 2022 and joined DWS Legal in 2023 as a Corporate and Commercial Property paralegal. Simran assists the property team on various matters, including complex commercial conveyancing transactions and financial matters.

Simran is well connected within the legal networking community and particularly enjoys her contributions to the Leicestershire Junior Lawyers Divisions and volunteering to mentor law students at De Montfort University.

Mia joined the team in 2023 after completing her Law degree and currently assists the property and private client teams. She is the first point of call for clients and enjoys working within both fields of Law.

Mia has also been recently appointed our head of social media, she has a creative eye for details and enjoys building our brand through marketing development.

Omaima, better known as 'Omi' has a passion for law that developed while at University when shadowing solicitors to offer legal advice across all areas of the law.

She works within our residential conveyancing department and assists on property sales, purchases and various other transactions. Omi specialises in facilitating communication between parties, being native in Arabic and Italian, while proficient in French enabling her to cater to client’s needs from different backgrounds, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.

Omaima is an enthusiastic, positive and approachable person who goes beyond the legal jargons to make the process comfortable and accessible for all parties involved.
